The World Didn't Even Come to an End!

Friends something happened last weekend. Something that happens about as frequently as oohhhh..Haley's Comet or something like that.

I went out.

By myself.

No children.

No husband.

Just me and a few other adults.

Not one time.

Not two times.

THREE WHOLE TIMES!!!!!

One of them was even spontaneous!

It was glorious. It was much needed.

I have not been faring well in the mood department these past two weeks. I have some angry feelings about some things and I am struggling mightily to let those feelings go. I have not been terribly successful. I do not like it one little bit.

One of my outings involved re-learning a previously learned skill. By previously learned skill I mean something that I never really learned how to do correctly in the first place. I learned to crochet!

Here are my first efforts:

I call this one "Bookmark." Or more accurately "Learning different stitches, or whatever you call them." Apparently technical terms were not part of my education.

This one is "Granny Square in Progress"
It was lovely fun and I look forward to someday actually making a complete crocheted...something.
Now I need to go do some mediatation or guided imagery or something to get this ugly angry beast OUT!! Out of my head!

I'm jealous that you went out all by yourself with friends. The only place I ever go by myself is the store. I'm working on it though!

It is really tough for some of us parenting types. My kids are 11 and nearly 8 and my going out by myself happens MAYBE once a year.

Keep working on it!
